Top Things to do in Dallas, Texas

You might have heard that everything is bigger in Texas. Well, Dallas does its best to fulfill that promise! The vibrant and lively city is full of unique activities for tourists and locals to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for unique architecture, yummy restaurants, street art or murals, Dallas has a little bit of everything. Here are the top sites you should see!

Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge

If you spend just a few minutes driving around Dallas, you’ll like spot Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge – a massive, white, gorgeous piece of architecture. This bridge definitely has a wow-factor. However, it is dangerous to walk on the actual bridge itself…so how do you take awesome photos of it?

Head to Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge for the best (& safest) view of the beautiful white bridge. This walkway is solely for people and offers the prettiest angle for capturing photos. Besides a few benches and a little fountain that kids can splash around in, there is not much to the footbridge…other than the amazing views!

Reunion Tower

The highlight of my time in Dallas was visiting the city’s iconic Reunion Tower. At 561 feet tall, it is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city. From the tower you will see miles of Dallas, including unobstructed views of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

I highly recommend timing out your visit to be near sunset. This way you can capture the panoramic views during the daytime, sunset, blue hour, and night. The price is not the cheapest thing in the world, but it is very worth purchasing a ticket to see these epic views of Dallas!

This adorable rainbow mural can be found in the parking lot of Flea Style in Deep Ellum!

Street art is everywhere in Dallas. The Deep Ellum neighborhood, however, takes 1st place for the best murals. Every corner features a colorful mural or Instagrammable place to snap a photo. The exciting Deep Ellum entertainment district is known for its street murals, quirky art galleries and long-time concert venues for indie and blues.

If you’re looking for the most photogenic murals in Texas, Deep Ellum is a must! Throughout its history, Deep Ellum has also been a place for visual artists to come and make a name for themselves through public displays of creativity. There are multiple places for public parking, so it is easy to explore the area.

Checking out the murals is definitely one of the top things to do in Dallas!

Klyde Warren Park

Klyde Warren Park is unique all on its own as it is located over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway. Yep, the park was built over a major interstate! There is a lot to do throughout the 5.2-acre park…food trucks, street vendors, sports, live music, sculptures, fountains, and more.

If you’re searching for an oasis in the middle of downtown Dallas, definitely spend some time in Klyde Warren Park. You will also find a lot of locals taking a study break underneath the greenery.
