Peggy Porschen: London’s Cutest Afternoon Tea

If you’re searching for the most beautiful, aesthetic, delicious place for English tea/pastries, look no further than Peggy Porschen Cakes! Anyone who has done a quick scroll through Pinterest for “Instagrammable spots in London” or “best places to eat in London” has likely seen the iconic pink facade of this cafe. And yes, it is even cuter in person.

Dining at Peggy Porschen was a highlight during our trip to London. Not only are there endless photo opportunities, but the food, pastries, and tea are SO GOOD. Sometimes, a restaurant is only popular for aesthetic reasons. However, Peggy Porschen actually has delicious food and not just a cute exterior.

The menu at Peggy Porschen is surprisingly large. One might think the only options are cakes and tea. Luckily, the options are not limited to the basics – you have a wide selection of items to munch & sip on.

If you are in the mood to splurge just a little, we highly recommend booking a table for the Afternoon Tea experience. While you can simply order one cup of tea and a pastry or two, we thoroughly enjoyed getting to taste many different items through the Afternoon Tea. Especially if you’re only in London once, this is the best way to fully experience the world-renowned parlour.

My favorite tea flavor was the Peppermint. I am not a huge tea drinker (except for Southern sweet tea), but I was shocked at how tasty this tea was. Currently, I am trying to figure out a way to remake the peppermint tea…it was that good!

For pastries, I loved “Chocolate Raspberry & Rose Cupcake,” the scones with clotted cheese and jam (such a delicious combo), and the “Coronation Chicken” finger sandwich. These were just 3 of the many, many amazing food options that were brought to us on the tiered displays.

In addition to the food & tea being delicious, the interior and exterior of Peggy Porschen is quite stunning. According to their website, “Built on Peggy’s love of a pink and pastel colour palette, modern romance, craftsmanship and exquisite tastes, the Parlour provides a fairy-tale setting, which changes through the year to please both sweet-toothed Londoners and tourists from all around the globe.”

Visit a Parlour

There are two locations: Belgravia & Chelsea. We selected the Belgravia location simply because it had the reservation time that we wanted. It worked out in our favor because this location was SO cute and SO close to other iconic sites, such as Harrod’s (after all, afternoon tea + shopping is a must). Wherever you dine will be an amazing experience.
